Tom Morris is set to become the artistic director at the Old Vic Theatre in Bristol. Emma Stenning will be the executive director.

Mr. Morris is not new to working with Emma Stenning, previously they both help the same positions at the Battersea Arts Centre.

The pair will take up their new positions from September, after working out their current positions.

At present, Emma Stenning is working as the production head at Manchester International Festival, and Mr. Morris has a position of an associate to the renowned National Theatre, as mentioned in an earlier piece here at londontheatretickets.co.uk, the National will soon see War Horse transfer to the West End.

Simon Cook, chair of the panel in charge of selection for the posts is quoted as saying:

“The interest in these two posts has been huge. The selection process has been very thorough and we are delighted to have attracted such high calibre people to lead BOV.”

A public meeting will see Mr. Morris and Stenning unveiled on 16th April, and at the meeting they will be discussing their future plans for the Bristol Old Vic.

The Bristol Old Vic is known in the theater world as being one of the most stunning theatres, the building dates back to the 18th Century. The Theatre is said to be haunted by the ghost of the tragic actress Sarah Siddons, who performed in the venue many times.
