Priscilla Queen of The Desert The Musical Opens at The Palace Theatre

This evening (Monday 23rd March ‘09) sees the opening of Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical, in London’s West End. The show has its gala premier tomorrow (24th March ‘09)

The show is adapted from the well known, Oscar winning Australian film, which starred Guy Pearce, Terence Stamp and Hugo Weaving. The film told the tale of a pair of Drag show divas and a transsexual, travelling together on a converted old bus to a live drag show in the midst of the Australian outback/desert.

The live stage version will see such big name stars as Jason Donovan, Tony Sheldon, Clive Carter and Oliver Thornton.

At present, the show is said to be booking up to 26th Sept. ‘09 at the Palace Theatre. Because of occasional strong language, the guidance of a parent or guardian is recommended for any children under the age of 16.
